Account Manager

The primary function is to lead multiple accounts as the face of the relationship, implementing new strategies and identifying new business opportunities within these clients. As an Account Manager, you’ll shepherd the client relationship and service work with excellence to maximize achieving client goals and retain clients through winning and wowing. New client onboarding is a key piece of this role. The Manager will also provide guidance and mentoring to team members, and onboard new employees within the service area. This is a full time position based in Athens, GA at our Corporate Office. This role is hybrid, with the expectation of at least three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically and relationally lead multiple accounts, representing SSG with excellence
  • Deliver promised client results
  • Own client goals and retention
  • Onboard new clients and new team members
  • Lead multi-service accounts and special projects
  • Facilitate any processes required to accomplish client goals and execute on projects according to the scope of work by equipping team members with necessary tools and information

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, PR, Digital Media, Advertising, or related degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications. An Internship in a related field is a plus
  • Experience of these social platforms and tools: Sprout Social, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Creation of Vertical Video, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and Canva.
  • Specialized training, proficiencies, or certifications in platforms such as Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, etc is desired
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Self-starter, with an ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong follow through

Organizational:

  • Lead oneself by meeting all deadlines
  • Support Account Leads with responsibilities and projects in Asana
  • Lead up to the Executive team through communication, ownership, and resourcefulness

Communications:

  • Lead all client comms with enthusiasm and excellence
  • Serve as the front line contact for all client comms, ensuring all comms are responded to
  • Organize reporting and insights that foster client retention
  • Understand and analyze Sprout, ReportGarden, and Media Feedback Reports
  • Be an effective and trusted liaison for team members and the client, delegating and communicating service-area-specific tasks
  • Communicate to and collaborate with the Leadership Team on relationships and ownership of clients

Client Support:

  • Do excellent work, exceed client expectations, and own client goals
  • Lead the onboarding process for all new multi-service clients
  • Own and manage relational client opportunities
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for new or growing business
  • Provide connection and overall strategy to the client, tracking and moving all deliverables forward, and sending and compiling weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

Leadership + Team:

  • Serve all those you are working with by having a positive attitude while assisting with all project deadlines and any work that will lead to client success
  • Support service areas as a final POD for all client-facing deliverables
  • Work directly with service teams to ensure goals are being achieved
  • Manage and update weekly Client Roster Portfolio in Asana
  • Lead the team in understanding the goals of the client and how each individual’s role can and should align with accomplishing them
  • Manage and mentor junior staff, including delegating, overseeing, and assisting in administrative tasks

Skills + Experience:

  • Excellent client management skills, with a strong history of communicating with C-level and executive officers, as well as the ability to lead cross-service area strategy and deliverables while driving client goals
  • High level of experience with social platforms and tools: Sprout Social, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, vertical video creation, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and Canva
  • Ability to read and explain data using social media analytics tools
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Self-starter with an ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Strong marketing project management skills in terms of timely planning, executing, and reporting on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent computer skills in a Mac OS environment, with strong proficiency in Excel and Sheets

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing, communications, or agency experience including strategy, client communication, executing social/digital/PR campaigns, driving results, and reporting
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field
  • Specialized training, proficiencies, or certifications in platforms such as Google Analytics, AdWords, or Facebook Business Manager are a plus
