Jarryd Wallace | Sprinting Through Trials

Jarryd Wallace has more than a decade of experience proving that a willing mind can outrun any limitation. After compartment syndrome and failed surgeries led him to amputate his right leg below the knee in 2010, Wallace reinvented himself as a world-record sprinter and later a medal-winning long jumper, earning Paralympic bronze medals in the 200 meters at Tokyo 2020 and the long jump at Paris 2024. Along the way he collected three World Championship gold medals and multiple world records. Now, as CEO and founder of the RIVL Foundation, Wallace channels that same drive into prosthetic innovation, amputee research, and community outreach so others facing limb loss don’t have to piece together their recovery alone. His story is one of turning personal loss into a lasting legacy of possibility.
